Abstract
Predmet ovog rada je analizirati dvije različite koncepcije pokaznih jedinica i ukazati na potencijalne opasnosti i bolesti koje se javljaju korištenjem neergonomskih pokaznih jedinica računala kroz duži vremenski period. Pažnja je pridana prednostima i nedostacima oba uređaja (trackballa i računalnog miša) te savjetima za korisnike u cilju izbjegavanja potencijalne bolesti, sukladno njihovim stvarnim potrebama. Obrađen je i povijesni razvoj pokazivačkih jedinica, od prvih prototipova, pa sve do modernih trackballa i računalnih miševa. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada načinjeno je istraživanje unutar ograničene testne populacije koje nam je pokazalo kako se ispitanici snalaze pri upotrebi ovih dviju koncepcija pokaznih jedinica. Za ovu potrebu načinjen je poseban testni predložak i scenarij primjene.
Abstract (english)
The subject of this paper is to analyze two different conceptions of pointing devices and to point out the potential risks and diseases that occur by using non-ergonomic pointing devices over a longer period of time. Attention is paid to the advantages and disadvantages of both devices (trackball and mouse) and advising users on how to avoid potential diseases, depending on their actual needs. The historical development of pointing units, from the first prototypes, to modern trackballs and computer mouse is also analyzed. In the experimental part of the paper, a research was done within a limited test population, which showed us how the respondents cope with the use of these two concepts of pointing devices. A special test template and application scenario was made for this purpose.
