Abstract
Prvi računalni sustavi u automobile počinju se ugrađivati krajem šezdesetih godina. Prilikom uvođenja raznih normi i propisa za vozila, osobito za zaštitu okoliša, neophodan je bio i daljnji razvoj te unaprjeđenje računalnog sustava automobila. Povećanjem broja elektroničkih računala (ECU-a, engl. Electronic Control Unit) u automobilu potrebna je i njihova međusobna komunikacija te se uvodi serijski komunikacijski protokol CAN (engl. Controller Area Network). CAN protokol omogućava razmjenu podataka sa svim podsustavima u vozilu, poput sustava za upravljanje radom motora te podsustavima bitnim za sigurnost i udobnost.
Abstract (english)
At the end of the 1960s, the first computer systems for controlling the operation of engines began to be installed in vehicles. The introduction of standards and regulations that vehicles must meet, primarily those related to environmental protection, required the further development and improvement of this system. Increasing the number of electronic computers (ECUs) in the vehicle, the need arises to connect them for data exchange and introduces a serial communication protocol CAN (Controller Area Network) that allows data exchange with all subsystems in the vehicle, such as engine management systems and subsystems essential for safety and comfort in the vehicle.
