Abstract
Investicijski fondovi u Republici Hrvatskoj nastaju u drugoj polovici 1990-ih godina kao jedan od noviteta u društvenoj tranziciji iz jednostranačke socijalističke države u višestranačje. Trenutno (srpanj, 2018.) na financijskom tržištu Republike Hrvatske, u skladu s europskom direktivom, djeluju dva osnovna tipa investicijskih fondova, odnosno društva za zajednička ulaganja u prenosive vrijednosne papire ili UCITS fondovi i alternativni investicijski fondovi ili AIF fondovi. UCITS fondovi namijenjeni su uglavnom širokom krugu ulagatelja dok su AIF fondovi namijenjeni ulagateljima s više iskustva i znanja u području ulaganja. Poslovanje UCITS fondova koji posluju u Republici Hrvatskoj regulirano je Zakonom o otvorenim investicijskim fondovima s javnom ponudom. Broj UCITS fondova u Republici Hrvatskoj neprestano se povećava. U ukupnim prihodima pravnih osoba ovlaštenih za pružanje investicijskih usluga, društva za upravljanje UCITS fondovima na trećem su mjestu, iza komercijalnih banaka i investicijskih društava. Također, evidentna je redistribucija djelatnosti pružanja investicijskih usluga od komercijalnih banaka na investicijska društva i društva za upravljanje UCITS fondovima. Društva za upravljanje UCITS fondovima najveće prihode ostvaruju od prihoda od upravljanja portfeljem, pošto je to njihova osnovna djelatnost.
Abstract (english)
Investment funds in Republic of Croatia was first introduced in second half of 1990s as one of the novelties of transition process from single-party socialist state to a multi-party system. Currently (July, 2018) there are two basic types of investment funds on financial market of Republic of Croatia, Undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities, or UCITS funds and alternative investment funds, or AIF funds. The role of UCITS funds are mainly intended for broad type of investors while the AIF funds are mainly intended for investors with more experience and knowledge in the area of investing. Business of UCITS funds which are operating in Republic of Croatia is regulated with Law on open-end mutual funds. Numbers of existing UCITS funds in Republic of Croatia are increasing constantly. In total legal entity revenues who are authorised to provide investment services, UCITS funds management companies are on third place, behind commercial banks and investment companies. Also, there is noticeable redistribution of activities in investment services from commercial banks to investment companies and UCITS fund management companies. UCITS funds management companies are achieving their biggest revenues from portfolio management revenues, since this is their basic activity.
