Abstract
Prema Zakonu, policija je središnja služba Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova (MUP) koja obavlja poslove određene zakonom i drugim propisima. Policija građanima pruža zaštitu njihovih temeljnih ustavnih prava i sloboda i zaštitu drugih Ustavom Republike Hrvatske zaštićenih vrijednosti. Ministarstvo unutarnjih poslova (MUP) je tijelo državne uprave u Republici Hrvatskoj kojem je osnovna zadaća zaštita ustavnog poretka, kao i zaštita života njezinih građana, te zaštita njihove imovine. MUP dijeli policiju na tri hijerarhijske razine : 1.Ravnateljstvo policije, 2. policijske uprave, 3. policijske postaje. Granična policija Republike Hrvatske nalazi se u sklopu Ureda za granicu kao ustrojstvene jedinice koja priprada u djelokrugu rada Ravnateljstva policije. Hrvatska na kopnu graniči sa 5 susjednih zemalja, od kojih s nekima graniči i na moru, dok sa Italijom ima samo morsku granicu.[4] Posao granične policije zahtjeva izrazito veliku fizičku i psihičku spremu. Od granične policije očekuje se i zahtjeva da bude ogledalo države Hrvatske. Kao i prije, tako i danas za vrijeme takozvane „migranske krize“ brojne opasnosti prijete tijekom obavljanja poslova, stoga su ispravna zaštitna sredstva i oprema od velike važnosti za sigurnost policijskog službenika. Zaštitna sredstva i oprema pomažu pri uporabi sredstava prisile koji su u posljednjih 10 godina upotrijebljena ukupno u 38 411, pri čemu su dvojica policajaca smtrno stradala, a 3130 ih je ozlijeđeno, 57 teško. Zaštitana sredstva i oprema propisana su Uredbom o vrsti naoružanja i opreme policijskih službenika Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova. Zaštitna sredstva kao osnovna policijska oprema su: zaštitne kape, radno odjelo kombinezon, zimska radna odjeća, kišna radna odjeća, zaštitni prsluk s flueorescentnim obilježjima, zaštitne rukavice, zaštitne čizme kao i balistički prsluci.
Abstract (english)
According to the law, the police is the department of the Interior Ministry (MUP), who pratice tasks regulated by law and other regulations. Police provide citizens with the protection of their fundamental constitutional rights and freedoms and protection of the other rights by the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia. The Ministry of the Interior (MUP) is the state administration body in the Republic of Croatia whose main task is to protect the constitutional order, as well as to protect the lives of citizens and to protect their property. The MUP divides the police into three hierarchical levels: 1. Police Supervising, 2. Police Administration, 3. Police station. The Border Police of the Republic of Croatia is situated at the Office of the Border as an organization unit which is part of Police Supervising. Croatia has five borders, some of them are to the sea, while, Italy has only the sea border. The work of the border police requires extremely high physical and mental training. From the border police is expected to be a mirror of the state of Croatia. Even today, during the so-called "migration crisis", many threats are threatened while police do they job, and therefore right equipment has great importance for the safety of a police officer. Protective resources and equipment help to use the means of coercion that have been used in 38 411 in the past 10 years, and two policemen have died and 3130 were injured, 57 were severely injured. Protected equipments are prescribed by the statute of Police Officers in the Ministry of the Interior. Basic police equipment are: protective caps, working jackets, winter and rain jackets, protective vest with flueorescent features, protective gloves, protective boots and ballistic vests.
