Abstract
U ovome radu kao primjer požara u industriji odabrana je naftna industrija, s posebnim naglaskom na naftnim platformama i njihovoj sigurnosti. Novi propisi obvezuju poslodavca da provede procjenu opasnosti od požara te da posljedično uspostave mjere kontrole kako bi se spriječio gubitak života. Propisi koji reguliraju opasnost od požara u industriji osmišljeni su tako da obuhvaćaju točno ono što se traži od poslodavaca. Protokoli su napisani jednostavnim jezikom i obuhvaćaju osnove pravilnog upravljanja protupožarnom zaštitom. Nakon upoznavanja s opasnostima od požara u industriji, svaki poslodavac, stručnjak za sigurnost ili službenik za zaštitu od požara trebao bi moći uspostaviti sustav za provođenje procjene rizika od požara.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper is industrial fire in oil industry, with special emphasis on oil platforms and their safety. The new regulations oblige the employer to conduct a fire risk assessment and consequently establish control measures to prevent loss of life. Regulations governing fire hazards in industry are designed to cover precisely what employers are required to do. The protocols are written in simple language and cover the basics of proper fire protection management. Once familiar with the fire hazards in the industry, every employer, safety expert, or fire protection officer should be able to set up a system to conduct a fire risk assessment.
