Abstract
Ovim završnim radom prikazane su temeljne funkcije Banke Engleske bez kojih ona kao Centralna banka Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva ne bi postojala; povijest banke, vođenje monetarne politike, izdavanje novčanica (od proizvodnje do uništenja, distribucija, odabir ličnosti na novčanicama, prevencija krivotvorenja novčanica itd.), tržišta i plaćanja (sustav naplate, osiguranje likvidnosti itd.), financijska stabilnost (Odbor za financijsku politiku, razlaganje), kontinuitet financijskog sektora, te tijela za bonitetnu regulaciju. Također su navedeni konkretni poslovi svih tijela Banke Engleske a ona su odgovorna za ostvarivanje glavnih zadataka i ciljeva. Banka Engleske, kao Centralna banka Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, održavanjem monetarne i financijske stabilnosti promiče dobrobit naroda.
Abstract (english)
This paper outlines the basic functions of the Bank of England without which it would not exist as the Central Bank of the United Kingdom; Bank History, Management of monetary policy; Issuing banknotes (from production to destruction, distribution, banknote character selection, counterfeit prevention, etc.), Markets and payments (payment system settlement, liquidity insurance, etc.), Financial Stability (Financial policy committee, Resolution); Financial sector continuity and prudential regulation bodies. There are also listed specific tasks of all the Bank of England's bodies which are responsible for achieving its main tasks and goals. The Bank of England, as the Central Bank of the United Kingdom, is dedicated to promoting the good of the people of the United Kingdom by maintaining monetary and financial stability.
