Abstract
Kako gotovo nigdje nije obuhvaćen sav sadržaj vezan uz kukuruz i sve što ide uz njega odlučio sam se za ovu temu kako bih mogao doprinjeti i obraditi tu temu što je kvalitetnije moguće. Ovaj rad opisuje gotovo sve najbitnije stvari vezane uz kukuruz. Od same morfologije kukuruza, načina na koji se uzgaja, vrsti i sorti koje postoje, pa sve do njegove berbe i daljnje prerade i upotrebe. U radu će detaljno biti opisani svi dijelovi kukuruza te njegov kemijski i biološki sastav. Također će se detaljno raščlaniti načini i svrha upotrebe samog kukuruza. Vrlo je malo poznato da je kukuruz najproizvođenija žitarica na svijetu te sa isto tako najširom upotrebom od sviha. U 2014. SAD je ostvario prihod od gotovo 62 milijarde dolara što je više nego u proizodnji svih ostalih žitarica zajedno. Kukuruz je specifičan po tome što gotovo svi dijelovi stabljike na nekin način mogu poslužiti u preradi tj. prozivodnji. Poznato je da danas od 10 000 artikala u megamarketu, njih 2500 sadrže kukuruz, čime dolazimo do zaključka da čak 25% proizvoda u sebi na neki način sadrži kukuruz. On obiluje ugljihidratima, a siromašan je mastima pa predstavlja dobar izvor brzo raspoložive energije. Vjerujem kako pored upotrebe u ljudskoj i stočnoj prehrani kukuruzu tek dolazi vrijeme da se još više iskoristi kao potencijalni izvod energije tj. biogoriva. Pokušati ću na najbolji mogući način predočiti tehnologiju kukuruza i sve njegove proizvode. Sve to će biti praćeno sa mnoštvo slika i statističkih tablica.
Abstract (english)
Since almost all content related to maize has not been covered anywhere together and everything that goes with it has been chosen for this topic in order to facilitate and handle this theme as much as possible. This paper describes almost all the most important things related to corn. From the corn morphology itself, the way it is grown, the kind and varieties that exist, up to its harvest and further processing and use. All the parts of corn and its chemical and biological composition will be described in detail. It will also detail the ways and purpose of the use of maize itself. It is very little known that corn is the world's best-produced cereal and with the utmost use of all. In 2014, the US earned nearly $ 62 billion in revenue, more than the production of all other cereals together. Maize is specific in that almost all parts of the stem can in some way be used in processing. It is well known that today, from 10,000 items in the megamarket, 2500 of them contain corn, which leads us to the conclusion that as much as 25% of the product in itself contains some corn. It abounds in carbohydrates, and is poor with fats, and is a good source of fast-available energy. I believe that in addition to the use in human and animal feed, corn is just coming to be used even more as a potential energy source, i.e. biofuel. I will try to present the corn technology and all its products in the best possible way. All this will be followed by a multitude of pictures and statistics tables.
