This paper deals with the topic of fire protection in electrical installations. The paper defines the concepts of electrical installations and fire protection, and the two mentioned concepts were later problematized and correlated. Attention is paid to the legal regulations that deal with this issue, so that each legal norm is announced and analyzed in each of the chapters, in order to see the normative approach to the observed issues. After that, we dealt with the prevention and response to fires caused by electrical failures. Initially, through legal norms, the prescribed method of installation was described as part of the preventive approach, while later the reactive part was processed, through an accurate description of the steps in the method of fire extinguishing and control. Although the focus is on fires caused by electrical installations, the paper also touched on the issue of the impact of fires on electrical installations that are not caused by them but affect them. It was concluded that the whole area of fire protection in the context of electrical installations is very well standardized and that the steps related to the prevention and response to such fires are very well announced and very clear. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of the correctness of electrical installations to ensure that our households, businesses and other facilities will not be affected by the fire caused by the problem described here.
