Abstract
Danas u 21. stoljeću unatoč postojanju brojnih konvencija i organizacija koje reguliraju uporabu i proizvodnju kemijskog oružja, ono i dalje postoji te predstavlja opasnost ne samo za zdravlje ljudi već i za okoliš. Nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, najjednostavniji i najjeftiniji način uklanjanja bojnih otrova bilo je njihovo pohranjivanje u mora i oceane. Bojni otrovi se u ovakvom okruženju razgrađuju, a produkti njihove razgradnje mogu biti itekako otrovni i utjecati na morske ekosustave, posebice u područjima s razvijenim ribolovom. Stoga je cilj ovog završnog rada dati pregled korištenih bojnih otrova u dosadašnjim sukobima, njihova osnovna svojstva i djelovanja na ljudski organizam, te pokušati analizirati njihovu razgradnju u okolišu i utjecaj na materijale, odnosno ekološke implikacije kemijskog ratovanja.
Abstract (english)
Today in the 21st century, despite the existence of numerous conventions and organizations that regulate the use and production of chemical weapons, they still exist and pose a danger not only to human health but also to the environment. After World War II, the simplest and cheapest way to remove war poisons was to store them in the seas and oceans. War poisons decompose in such an environment, and the products of their decomposition can be very toxic and affect marine ecosystems, especially in areas with developed fishing. Therefore, the aim of this final paper is to give an overview of the war poisons used in previous conflicts, their basic properties and effects on the human body, and try to analyze their degradation in the environment and impact on materials and environmental implications of chemical warfare.
