Abstract
Menadžment je proces planiranja ciljeva, organiziranja resursa i aktivnosti te upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima i kontroliranja, kojim se kontinuirano postižu efikasne kombinacije ograničenih resursa i ljudskih potencijala za efektivno postizanje organizacijskih ciljeva u promjenjivoj okolini. Važan dio menadžmenta je i menadžment ljudskih potencijala koji se kao funkcija menadžmenta intenzivno počeo razvijati nakon Drugog svjetskog rata. Menadžment u policijskoj organizaciji odgovoran je za njezinu funkcionalnost i učinkovitost, a svrha je menadžmenta upravljanje organizacijskim resursima, ljudskim i materijalnim, na način da se učinkovito ostvaruju organizacijski ciljevi. Temelj policije su ljudi odnosno policijski službenici odnosno oni čine ljudske potencijale MUP-a. Važno je zbog toga znati upravljati ljudskim potencijalima odnosno važno je znati privući i zaposliti nove djelatnike te zadržati stare djelatnike. Jednako tako kao što su za policijski sustav vaţni policijski službenici, tako su i njihovo vođenje važni menadžeri koji će upravljati njima, motivirati ih i voditi tijekom karijere policijskog službenika. Motivacija u policiji također predstavlja bitan faktor te ju je važno održati na visokom nivou.
Abstract (english)
Management is the process of planning goals, organizing resources and activities, also managing human resources and controlling, which continuously achieves effective combinations of limited resources and human resources to effectively achieve organizational goals in a changing environment. An important part of management is human resource management, which as a function of management began to develop intensively after the Second World War. Management in a police organization is responsible for its functionality and efficiency, and his purpose is to manage organizational, human and material resources, in a way that effectively achieves organizational goals. The basis of the police are people - police officers, they are the human resources of the Ministry of the Interior. It is therefore important to know how to manage human resources, how to attract and hire new employees and keep old employees. Just as police officers are important to the police system, so are their leaders important managers who will manage, motivate and guide them throughout the career of a police officer. Motivation in the police is also an important factor and it is crutial to maintain it at a high level.
