Abstract
Tema završnog rada koji sam napisao su Balastne vode. Balast voda je voda koju brodovi uzimaju radi ravnoteže, stabilnosti i očuvanja integriteta broda dok je prazan. Glavni problem balastnih voda je onečišćenje gdje dolazi do prijenosa novih vrsta mikroorganizama ali i također patogenih mikroorganizama, odnosno uzročnika raznih bolest. To je samo jedan od problema kod prijenosa balasta. Na početku rada govorimo o karakteristici balastnih voda, o njenoj problematici te govorimo o njezinim negativnim utjecajima. U nastavku govorimo o načinima obrade i tretiranju balastnih voda, te naposljetku pišem o proizvođačima opreme za pročišćavanje balastnih voda i o budućem razvoju.
Abstract (english)
The topic of the graduation thesis I wrote is the Ballast Water. Ballast is the water that ships use to maintain balance, stability and integrity of the ship while it is empty of cargo. Main problem of the ballast water is environmental pollution, because ballast water is transferring new species of microorganisms and pathogenic microorganisms that can cause various diseases. That is only one of the problems in transferring ballast. At the beginning of the thesis we are talking about the characteristics of the ballast water, about problems and the negative impacts. Than we continued discussing the method of processing and treatments of ballast water and in the end i write about producers of equipment for purification of ballast water and its further developement.
