Abstract
Biootpad je kategorija otpada za koju se na europskoj razini intenzivno radi na kreiranju kvalitetnog regulatornog okvira. Potencijal ove kategorije otpada, koja se proizvodi u ne tako zanemarivim količinama, nije odgovarajuće iskorišten i često završava na odlagalištima otpada. Riječ je o podkategoriji biorazgradivog otpada koji se sastoji od biorazgradivog otpada iz vrtova i parkova, hrane i kuhinjskog otpada iz kućanstava, ureda, restorana, veleprodaje, kantina, ugostiteljskih objekata i sličnog otpada iz proizvodnje prehrambenih proizvoda. Biootpad je potrebno odvojeno sakupljati prvenstveno kako bi smanjili količine otpada na odlagalištima, smanjili emisije stakleničkih plinova, štitili okoliš te proizveli kompost kao vrijednu komponentu u poljoprivredi. Uz kompostiranje, biootpad možemo obraditi i anaerobnom digestijom o kojoj ću detaljnije govoriti u ovom radu. Cilj ovog rada je upoznati se s problematikom gospodarenja biootpadom, naučiti kako pravilno razvrstati biootpad, te kako ga ponovno oporabiti bez štetnih utjecaja na okoliš.
Abstract (english)
Biowaste is in category of waste on which the Europe is extensively working on to create quality regulations. The potential of this category of waste is not exploited enough, and eventually it ends up in a junkyards. Here we are talking about a sub category of biodegradable waste which is vastly wade of waste from parks, gardens, food and kitchen waste, offices, restaurants, wholesale waste, canteens and similar waste that derives from food usage. Biowaste is needed to be collected separately to lower the quantities of waste on junkyards and also to lower the greenhouse gas emissions, to protect the environment and to produce compost as a valuable component in agriculture. Biowaste can be treated with composting along with anaerobic digestion about which I will talk more. The purpose of this paper is to get acquainted with the problems of biowaste management, learn how to properly classify biowaste, and how to recover it without harmful effects on the environment.
