The paper studies the impact of alcohol consumption in the workplace, which affects the productivity, safety and well-being of employees, emphasizing the importance of maintaining an alcohol-free working environment in order to protect the interests of the employer and the employee. Stating the legal framework and through the available literature, researching empirical studies and analyzing industry practice, the key factors that contribute to alcoholism in the workplace are identified. The influence of stress, pressure at work and the culture of alcohol consumption within the organization. Furthermore, methods of prevention and intervention, including educational programs, are considered. The paper provides a deeper understanding of alcohol problems in the workplace and offers guidance for the development of effective prevention strategies in an organizational context.
