Abstract
Šumski požari predstavljaju veliku opasnost za šumska zemljišta i šume u Republici Hrvatskoj, a naročito u Dalmaciji, na otocima i u Dalmatinskoj zagori. Usavršavanje metoda prevencije i borbe protiv šumskih požara omogućuje bitno smanjenje opožarenih površina. Poznavati čimbenike koji uvjetuju nastanak šumskih požara kao i čimbenike koji započinju širenje vatrene stihije bitno je zbog pripreme i vođenja preventivnih aktivnosti. Jedna od najvažnijih preventivnih mjera jest poznavanje obilježja šumskih požara. Pod požarom raslinja obuhvaćeni su požari svih vrsta raslinja od ostataka (lišća, grana), trave, poljoprivrednih zemljišta (vinograda, žitnih polja, pašnjaka), do zemljišta obraslog različitim vrstama drveća. Meteorološki čimbenici, goriva tvar i topografski elementi zemljišta utječu na razvoj požara raslinja. S obzirom na negativne posljedice koje za sobom ostavljaju ovi požari također su važne protupožarne, preventivne i sigurnosne mjere.
Abstract (english)
Forest fires present a huge danger for forest lands and forests in the Republic of Croatia, especially in Dalmatia, on the islands and in the Dalmatian Zagora. Perfecting the methods of prevention and of fight against forest fires enables a significant decrease of areas devastated by fire. It is of key importance to know the factors which cause the emergence of forest fires as well as those factors which commence spreading the elemental force of fire, in order to prepare and manage preventive activities. One of the most important preventive measures is knowing the forest fire characteristics. The term plants fire comprises fires of all kind of plants, from remains (leaves, branches), grass, agricultural land (vineyards, grain fields, pastures) to areas of land overgrown by different kinds of trees. Meteorological factors, combustible substance and topographic elements of land influence the growth of plants fires. Due to negative consequences which these fires leave behind, fire-fighting, preventive and safety measures are also of great importance.
