In an era of advanced communication and information technology and a sudden transition from industrial to it-information society, technology development has become, among other things, the basis for changes in education and education. This is why the higher education system sought and ordered the application of information technology. Quality and organized computerization leads to changes in methods of achieving the desired goals, how to manage higher education institutions, implementation of the educational process, definition of organizational structure, etc. significantly contributes to the increase in the quality of the education system. Informatisation must therefore be carried out effectively with a note of sustainable. In the Republic of Croatia, in accordance with time and environment, the importance of introducing computerization in higher education institutions has also been noted. By actively monitoring trends, developing sustainable strategies, plans, proposals and programs that accompany and support the introduction of computerization in higher education, and launching a series of projects aimed at increasing the quality of study and learning, the state contributes. Among these support stands out ISVU - a project that recorded its beginnings back in 2001, and by its very nature represents a solution of harmonization of computerization at the level of all higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia.
