Abstract	Republika Hrvatska nije izravno izložena terorističkim prijetnjama, ali ulazi u skupinu zemalja koje terorističke organizacije drže neprijateljskima zbog članstva u Ujedinjenim narodima, Europskoj uniji, NATO-u te u organizacijama koje djeluju u području sigurnosti i borbe protiv terorizma. Geopolitički položaj Hrvatske koja se nalazi na sjecištu prometnih pravaca između europskog sjevera, juga, zapada i istoka, značajan je čimbenik u procjeni prijetnje terorizma. Razvoj kemijske industrije donio je prosperitet čovječanstvu, ali i nove vrste ugroza kroz različite kemijske tvari koje imaju opasan učinak na čovjeka i okoliš. U tehničko-tehnološkim katastrofama koje najčešće imaju katastrofalne posljedice za ljude, materijalna dobra i okoliš intenzitet opasnosti definiran je veličinom ugroženog prostora i određuje postupke sukladno sa stupnjem ugrožavanja.
Abstract (english)	The Republic of Croatia is not directly exposed to terrorist threats, but enters the group of countries that terrorist organizations consider hostile due to membership in the United Nations, the European Union, NATO and in organizations working in the field of security and the fight against terrorism. The geopolitical position of Croatia, located at the intersection of traffic routes between Europe’s north, south, west and east, is a significant factor in assessing the threath of terrorism. The development of the chemical industry has brought prosperity to humanity, but also new types of threats through various chemicals that have a dangerous effect on humans and the environment. In technical-technological disasters that most often have catastrophic consequences for people, material goods and the environment, the intensity of danger is defined by the size of the endangered area and determines the procedures in accordance with the degree of endangerment.
