Abstract
U ovome radu ću objasniti što je ionizirajuće zračenje, kako ono utječe na čovjeka, iz kojih izvora dolazi, vrste zračenja te način prolaska kroz materiju kako zbrinjavamo radioaktivni otpad i kako računamo radioaktivni raspad. Spomenuti ćemo i neke bolesti ili ozljede uzrokovane zračenjem te naprave za otkrivanje zračenja ( detektori).
Abstract (english)
The final paper will explain ionizing radiation, its discovery and action, types of radiation and the passage of radiation through matter. It will describe how to calculate the number of nuclei that will disintegrate after a certain lapse of time and about the impact of radiation on humans and possible injuries caused by ionizing radiation. It will also be written about ionizing radiation detectors and their application.
