Abstract
Nafta je tekuća prirodna tvar, koja se nalazi u zemljinoj kori. Sastoji se većinom od brojnih ugljikohidrata, ali i od kisikovih, sumpornih i dušičnih organskih spojeva te malih udjela teških metala. Najčešće je smeđe - zelene do smeđe - crne boje. Sirovu naftu vadimo pomoću bušotina koja se onda šalje u rafinerije na preradu. Da bi dobili gotove proizvode poput motornog benzina, dizela ili mazivog ulja nafta se prerađuje raznim procesima: destilacijom, krekiranjem, reformingom, itd. Ti procesi si izuzetno složeni i sastoje se od niza kemijskih reakcija.
Abstract (english)
Petroleum is a liquid natural substance found in the earth crust. It consists of a large number of carbohydrates, but also of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogenous organic compounds and small amounts of heavy metals. The most common ones are brown - green to brown - black. We source the crude petroleum using a borehole which is then sent to the processing refineries. To get finished products like motor gasoline, diesel or grease oil, petroleum is processed by various processes: distillation, cracking, reforming, etc. These processes are extremely complex and consist of a series of chemical reactions.
