This thesis provides insight in relationship between humans and animals from scientific position, ethics and bioethics. The aim of the paper is to show what was, through history, the animal part in culture of human life and what was the behavior of humans towards the animals. Primarily, what was the division of animals towards the taxonomic classification and how did the human sort them in the end from more important one, and put them in the more important empires, to less important one and put them in the less important empires. Future on, this paper is about animals from bioethic positions, do they have the power to feel something and what is they moral status or do they even have one. Bioethics is giving us the answers to that issues in benefit of animals and that confirms the top ethicists and philosophers, while ethic is extremely anthropocentric and the right of deciding about life of flora and fauna belongs exclusively to humans. Humans have used animals in many ways, only to make their life easier regarding to the agricultural affairs, meat, eggs and similar or for scientific research. In the and of the paper it comes to the development of animals protection in the world but also in the Croatia and how did it affected them. Through the years, many branches and sciences have developed in helping them but still lit is no0t enough because the most of the animals are endangered and threatened with extinction.
