The task of this final paper is to implement automatic tool data transfer on modern machining centers.This will select one representative type of software TDM for managing tools in modern production and describe different methods of transferring tool data to the machining centers. The introductory part provides theoretical settings that include: - Multi operational numerically controlled machine tools - Machining centers. The general part describes the storage division according to the storage media type, automatic storage systems, physical storage of tools in the tool room (kardex modules) and TDM software package (tool data management software). In the part of the task development is described: - Tool presetting and tool clamping - Placement and automatic tool change at machining centers - Different methods of transferring tool data to machining centers (RFID system, barcode system) - Implementation of one of the solutions (barcode system). The results of the analysis compared the advantages of barcode system implementation compared to the RFID system for transferring tool data to the machining center Waldrich Coburg Master Tec 4500 AT. At the end of the paper, conclusions and literature were presented.
