In the introduction of this paper, it is explained how the devices for three-dimensional control have been invented. The development of the industry and the production of complex objects have caused the development of three-coordinate measuring machines (CMM) that mostly operate on a tactile principle, while according to the same principle, scanners that are used for controlling complex surfaces have been developed. In this paper the Creaform 3D scanner, model HandySCAN 700, has been presented. Later using the accompanying software VXelements data has been processed and a measurement report has been created. The principle of using the VXelements software is based on adjusting the correct parameters before the start of the scan. After scanning and quick control the scanned file is processed in detail. This way to desired result is achieved. The final goal was to get results based on a comparison with the CAD model and alignment in 2 different ways. After the alignment and comparison, we have come to the conclusion that the BEST FIT alignment is the most optimal solution for plastic-injection items and gives us realistic measurement results.
