The term maintenance includes all activities that are used to keep a system in a working state, or return to the state in which it performs the given function. The aim of this paper is to elaborate in detail tehnology of profile bending in order to be able to maintain the press for profile bending in the company Bravarija Iveković in the experimental part of the paper. The introductory part of the paper briefly describes the shaping of the material by deformation and then bending with emphasis on the sharp angular bending of the sheet metal. The methods of sharp angular bending and their basic characteristics such as: bending force, springback, position of the neutral axis and determination of the developed dimensions of the preparations are described. The profile bending technology is a special form of sharp angular bending in several steps on special presses. The tools for profile bending are described in detail, as well as their geometric characteristics, capacity, tool holders and the materials from which they are made and their heat treatment. Special presses for profile bending and a system for homogenizing the force on them are briefly presented. In the experimental part of the work, maintenance was performed on the Durma HAP 30120 profile bending machine, which consisted of dismantling the intermediates, grinding them and reassembling with prior preparation of the surfaces on the machine on which the intermediates rests. Finally, the geometry was tested with the renewed intermediates and test measurements were established that can be applied in the future for the purpose of preventive maintenance. The whole procedure was accompanied by photo documentation.
