The technology of injection metal molding is nowadays very popular and spread worldwide, with the application trend rising more and more. It has been developed from the classic technology of powder metallurgy and can thus be considered as the branch of that technology. In the last couple of decades the technology of injection metal molding has been developing rapidly and meets the high requirements of supply and demand we find nowadays. The human factor is small, whereas the machine factor is considerable, which has greatly eased this arduous and extensive work. Thanks to this modern technology, the use of different types of materials and the possibility of creating different geometrical shapes (“designs”) is possible, with a high precision rate of the products and line production. The technology has proven capable of producing small components of highly complicated shapes, and in most cases, the components created in this way do not need to be further processed, as is the case with their conventional creation. This thesis explains the process of the basic phase, with emphasis on each phase, describes the technologies of injection molding of powder materials. Tests of mechanical properties on materials called “Catamold” have been administered and examined in a laboratory.
