Abstract
Cilj ovog završnog rada bio je opisati drvo kao materijal i njegova svojstva. Rad se sastoji od teorijskog dijela i eksperimentalnog dijela. U prvom poglavlju opisana je primjena drva kroz ljudsku povijest. U drugom poglavlju objašnjena su osnovna fizikalna, kemijska i mehanička svojstva drva. Eksperimentalni dio opisuje metode ispitivanja svojstava drva koja se mogu provesti u laboratoriju u Veleučilištu u Karlovcu, uz pojašnjenje samih metoda ispitivanja i rezultate nekih od metoda ispitivanja.
Abstract (english)
The goal of this final paper was to describe wood as a material and his properties. This final paper consists of two parts, experimental and theoretical parts. The first chapter describes how wood was used throughout human history. In the second chapter woods properties are explained. Most of physical, chemical and mechanical properties of wood are explained. The experimental part of this final paper tells about all possible tests that can be done in laboratory to determine mechanical properties of wood. This part will explain how to do these tests and will give some results of those tests.
