The theoretical part of the thesis presents basic aliuminuim properties, as well as division, resistance and classification of aluminum alloys and corrosion classification. The last chapter of theoretical part brings an overview of anodising surface protection procedure. The surface protection, hard anodizing of objects made of aluminum alloys, EN AW 5083 and EN AW 7075, was made in the experimental part of the thesis. The aim of the experimental part was to give an insight into the steps of hard anodizing and to control the resulting coating thickness and the appearance of the anodized position. During the hard anodizing of the alloy EN AW 7072, a coating of 23 microns was obtained, while the anodizing of the alloy EN AW 5083 resulted in the layer of 32 microns. The resulting layers are still relatively small in size, so they do not pose a problem in production, unless there are tolerated measures, in which is then necessary to pay attention to adequate pre-treatment or appropriate hard anodizing parameters.
