This paper addresses the issue of construction waste disposal, analyzing its environmental impact as well as the practices, regulations, and challenges associated with construction waste management in the Republic of Croatia. The introduction explains the importance of proper disposal of construction waste to reduce negative environmental impacts, such as pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The second section defines construction waste and analyzes the different types of waste generated in the construction sector. The third part is dedicated to construction waste disposal procedures, including the legislative frameworks and strategies developed to improve the waste management system. The paper also discusses the problems Croatia faces in this area, such as limited recycling capacity and insufficient application of the circular economy. The fourth section analyzes current practices in Croatia, the challenges of construction waste disposal, and opportunities for improving recycling and optimizing the waste management system. The conclusion highlights the need for further infrastructure development, stricter regulations, and increased investment in recycling technologies to achieve a more sustainable future.
