Abstract
Požar je svako nekontrolirano gorenje koje nanosi materijalnu štetu i ugrožava ljudske živote. Požar u zatvorenom prostoru je požar u jednoj ili više prostorija unutar građevine. Požar u zatvorenom prostoru ovisi o količini gorive tvari, dotoku svježeg zraka u prostoriju i veličini prostorije. Požar na otvorenom prostoru odnosi se na šumske, poljske i sve ostale požare na otvorenom. Kombinirani požar javlja se u slučajevima kada požar započne u zatvorenom prostoru, ali se ne zadrži u njemu, nego pronađe izlazni put i zahvati prostor izvan objekta. Pri gašenju požara bilo koje vrste od posebne je važnosti odabir odgovarajućeg sredstva za gašenje. Pod zaštitnom vatrogasnom opremom smatra se sva ona oprema koju pojedinac nosi ili drži, a čija je svrha zaštititi vatrogasca od jedne ili više opasnosti za zdravlje i život. U vatrogasnu odjeću i obuću ubrajamo: vatrogasnu jaknu i hlače ili vatrogasni kombinezon, vatrogasne rukavice i vatrogasne čizme.
Abstract (english)
A fire is any uncontrolled burning that causes material damage and endangers human lives. An internal fire is a fire in one or more rooms within a building. An indoor fire depends on the amount of fuel, the supply of fresh air to the room, and the size of the room. Open fire refers to the forest, the field, and all other open fires. A combined fire occurs in cases where the fire starts inside but does not stay in it, but finds an exit route and affects the outer space of the building. When extinguishing any type of fire, it is especially important to choose the right extinguishing agent. Fire protection equipment is any equipment worn or supported by a person, the purpose of which is to protect the firefighter from one or more dangers to health and life. Firefighting clothing and footwear include: firefighting jacket and pants or firefighting coveralls, firefighting gloves, and firefighting boots.
