Abstract
Šumski požar je svako nekontrolirano gorenje nastalo izvan predviđenog ložišta, bilo to ljudskom ne pažnjom ili prirodnim pojavama. Pripada u prirodne katastrofe, te za sobom povlači niz velikih šteta, po životinje i njihova staništa, ljude i ekološki sustav. Taktika gašenja postoji, no ona varira ovisno o terenu, podneblju, resursima i vremenskim uvjetima i gotovo uvijek je različita. Kao dugogodišnji član operativne jedinice Dobrovoljnog vatrogasnog društva „Sušak“, sada i Javne vatrogasne postrojbe grada „Rijeke“, susreo sam se sa raznim izazovima na terenu i uvidio važnost poznavanja taktike, terena i klime svog podneblja. Važnost brze reakcije gasitelja, te isto tako uigranost timova. U ovome radu bit će govora o samom tijeku nastajanja požara, njegovom širenju, ljudskom čimbeniku, resursima koje vatrogasci posjeduju te samom gašenju i sprječavanju šumskih požara i velikih katastrofa.
Abstract (english)
A forest fire is any uncontrolled burning that occurs outside of the designated fire pit, whether due to human inattention or natural phenomena. It belongs to natural disasters and entails a series of great damages to animals and their habitats, people and the ecological system. Firefighting tactics exist, but they vary depending on terrain, climate, resources and weather conditions and are almost always different. As a long-term member of the operational unit of the Voluntary Fire Brigade "Sušak", currently also a professional firefighter of the Public Fire Brigade of the city "Rijeka", I encountered various challenges during interventions and realized the importance of knowing the firefighters tactics, terrain and weather conditions of our climate. The importance of the firefighter's quick response, as well as the teamwork. In this final paper, we will talk about the very process of fire formation, its spread, the human factor, the resources that firefighters possess, and the actual extinguishing and prevention of forest fires and major disasters.
