Final work will describe the course of the overhaul of the downstream turbine shutter at the kaplan turbine of unit A at the Čakovec hydroelectric power plant. The work will show us all phases of the overhaul, from the contracting phase to the handover of the equipment and the submission of the final report of performed works. In the first part, we briefly familiarize ourselves with the basic information about hydro turbines, the Čakovec hydroelectric power plant and the very function of the downstream turbine shutter. After that, the work describes the project task given by the contract. The second part of the work describes the implementation part of the contract, where the overhaul itself is divided into two parts. The first part refers to the design and planning of the project, while the second part of the project is only the execution of the works. Nowadays, the deadline for the fulfillment of the contract has the same importance as the financial part of the contract, especially in energy and energy distribution, where just 1 day of extension of the works brings big financial losses. This paper will emphasize the importance of planning technological processes of overhaul in compliance with the agreed deadline, given that the period for the execution of the works was limited to 12 weeks, which is a relatively short period considering the scope of the works..
