Abstract
Ekologija je znanost koja se bavi proučavanjem odnosa između živih bića i njihovog okoliša, a proučava i objašnjava evolucijske procese koji se odvijaju u spomenutom odnosu. Zaštita okoliša i ekologija povezane su definicijom održivog razvoja koja govori da se s okolišem treba postupati na način koji će omogućiti da buduće generacije ljudi kao i ostalih živih bića budu zadovoljene, a što će se postići uvažavanjem načela i ciljeva zaštite okoliša i održivog razvoja, poštivanjem zakona o zaštiti prirode, kao i time što će gospodarenje otpadom biti regulirano prema smjernicama o održivom gospodarenju.
Abstract (english)
Ecology is a science that deals with the study of the relationship between living beings and their environment, and studies and explains the evolutionary processes that take place in said relationship. Environmental protection and ecology are interlinked by the definition of sustainable development, which states that the environment should be treated in a way that will enable future generations of people as well as other living beings to be satisfied. This will be achieved by respecting the principles and goals of environmental protection and sustainable development, respecting the law on nature protection, as well as by the fact that waste management will be regulated according to the guidelines on sustainable management.
