Safety at work is a set of measures and a system of rules, measures, procedures and activities that improve safety and protection, the health of workers at work, injuries at work and occupational diseases. For the purpose of creating this work, the work is divided into 6 chapters that describe what electricity actually is, what effect it has on humans, what injuries it can cause, what are the danger zones in electrical installations, all of which are included in occupational safety when working with electricity and the practical part of the work, where an example of a risk assessment for an electrician's workplace and a report on the testing and measurement of the lightning protection system are presented and the focus of work and research was the idea of practical application of means and protocols of protection against electric shock. The workplace that includes working with electricity can easily be counted as one of the most dangerous workplaces, because just one moment of inattention/failure on the system can represent an injury with fatal consequences for the worker.
